Yunus Parkında İşkence

Istanbul’daki “Acqua Club Dolphinarium” ile ilgili asagidaki maili aldık.   Pis bir suda, her an patlamaya hazır bir cam tankın içinde tutsak olan bir yunus ve deniz aslanından söz ediyor.  Hayvanları insanların eğlence metai olarak gören zihniyetin açık bir örneği bu. Dolphinariuma  giden herkes bu suça ortak oluyor.

Oysa hayvanları koruma yasası  vahşi hayvanların yaşama ortamlarından koparılmamasından, doğada serbestçe yaşayan hayvanların yakalanıp özgürlüklerinden yoksun bırakılmamasından bahsediyor. Hayvanların türüne özgü şartlarda bakılması, beslenmesi ve barındırılması esastır deniyor.

Bir tarafta kanun, diğer tarafta bunun tam zıttı bir uygulama.  Bu vurdumduymazlık, sorumsuzluğa kurban edilen zavallı hayvanlar.

“Acquaclub Dolphin Park” adlı dolphinariumu 12 Ocak 2013’de ziyaret ettik ve hapis yunus ve deniz aslanının tutuldugu korkunç kosullara bizzat şahit olduk.

Açik tribunun hemen yanindaki  insan ve hayvan için çok zehirli olan kostik klor deposunun yanında, camdan küçük bir tankta, kirli bir suyun icinde yarı baygın yüzmekte olan yunusu gördük. Yunusun icinde bulundugu tank her an patlamaya hazır. Bölümü çevreleyen cam panolarda bircok çatlak var ve köşesinde de suyu sadece bir plastik levhanın tuttuğu görülüyür. Cam kırıldığı anda yunusun kuru zeminde  cam parcaları üzerinde kalması ve korkunç kosullarda oölmesi an meselesi. Bu tesiste hiçbir bekci ya da personel yok ve  çalışanlar sadece show süresince orada bulunuyor. Personel, camın kırılma riskiyle ilgili uyarılarımızı ciddiye almadı ve catlakların bir sure daha idare etme ihtimali olduğunu soylediler ki biz ayni fikirde degiliz.

ILYA tankin icinde yapayalnız. Deniz aslanı da yapayalnız ve küçücük kafesinden sadece show zamanı çıkabiliyor.

Orada yapılan hayvanlara yönelik işkencenin son safhasidir.

Cruelity at Dolphinarium

We have received the mail below about the “Aqua Club Dophinarium” in Istanbul. It tells about a dolphin and a sea lion captive in a polluted water tank with glass panes about to burst any minute.  Everybody that visits this place is actually supporting this mentality that sees animals as entertainment objects for humans.

On the other hand Turkey’s animal protection law says that wild animals should not be separated from their habitats, animals that live freely in nature should not be caught and deprived of their freedom. It says that it is essential that all animals have the right to be kept and fed and sheltered in conditions characteristic for their species.

The law and practice are in complete contradiction. And animals are victim of   this insensitivity and irresponsibility.

We visited the dolphinarium "Acquaclub-Dolphin-Park" in Istanbul on January 12th 2013 and found that a captive dolphin and a sea lion were living in the most horrible of conditions. 

Immediately next to the bleachers ere can of caustic chlorine, which is very poisonous for man and animal. A sole dolphin is lethargically swimming around in a small, polluted concrete-glass tank, which is about to burst any minute. There are several cracks in the glass panes of the enclosure and at one corner there is only a plastic sheet holding the water back. If the glass should crack, then the dolphin will be lying in the middle of glass pieces on dry land and could die under horrible conditions! There is no supervision or any personnel in this facility and the people that work in this dolphinarium are only present during show times. Our complaint about the danger of the bursting glass panes was not taken seriously by the personnel and replied that the cracks will probably hold out for a little while longer, which we are doubting very much, though.

"ILYA" is all alone in this tank!

The sea lion is also the only one there and is only allowed out of his tiny cage during show-time.

This is cruelty to animal at its utmost, which is happening there!
